Note di degustazione
The 2021 Pinot Noir Jerusalem Hill pours a youthful red color and is expressive in the glass, with pure and saturating notes of cherry candies, pressed roses, sweet sage, and cedar. It’s relatively full-bodied, though it’s light on its feet, with refined tannins, elegant plushness, refreshing, seamless acidity, and a long, floating finish. It’s a gorgeous wine that offers immediate pleasure, though it should age nicely over the coming 12-15 years.

The Jerusalem Hill Vineyard is located in the Eola-Amity Hills. Vines were planted in 2000 in Missoula flood soils and winds from the Van Duzer corridor result in thick skins. The 2021 Pinot Noir Jerusalem Hill Vineyard is bursting with technicolor scents of pomegranate, rhubarb, blood orange, potpourri and generous new oak spice. The medium-bodied palate combines concentrated flavors with suede-textured tannins and mouthwatering acidity, and it has a long, allspice-laced finish. It will benefit from several years in the cellar.
The 2021 Pinot Noir Jerusalem Hill Vineyard is from sedimentary soils at a lower elevation of 200-300 feet. It pours a youthful, rich magenta hue and boasts aromas of candied flowers, mixed berries, sweet herbs, rosemary, and forest floor. It’s approachable, with ripe, refined tannins, it has even freshness although it’s rounder in its acidity, and it has a clean note of sweet earth on the finish. Drink 2025-2037.
