2023 Aston Estate Pinot Noir

From a site planted by Thomas Rivers Brown in 2001 in Annapolis, the 2023 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast Estate offers a shade darker color and is a barrel selection sourced from the best block of the site. It leads with aromas of menthol, wild herbs, salty earth, juniper, lavender, and gravelly dark earth. It’s full-bodied yet never heavy, boasting a rich tannin profile, a long finish, and notes of floral perfume lasting long after the wine is gone. It needs another couple of years of bottle age to show its best. Drink 2026-2040.
