Medium to full-bodied, with bright yet integrated acidity, drink this impeccably balanced Chardonnay over the coming 4-5 years.
Merryvale's 2016 Chardonnay Silhouette is a powerful, rich wine. Tropical fruit, orange peel, butter, spice and vanillin give the Chardonnay its decidedly exotic, flamboyant personality. Fruit sources are Stanly Ranch and Hyde.
Aged for 16 months in 35% new French oak, the 2016 Chardonnay Silhouette opens with tropical fruit notes of mango, guava and pineapple with touches of crème brûlée, mandarin peel and lightly browned toast. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a pleasantly oily texture and lovely freshness lifting the vivacious fruits, finishing long. 459 cases produced.
