2015 Failla Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

Failla's 2015 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is absolutely delicious. Ripe, plummy and flamboyant, the Sonoma Coast Pinot is quite exotic in this vintage. Intense color and a darker flavor spectrum than normal - both vintage signatures - are evident. Black cherry, hard candy, cola, spice and leather notes are all nicely pushed forward. The 30% whole clusters add quite a bit of aromatic nuance to play off the rich, dense fruit. This is a fabulous entry-level offering from Failla and proprietor Ehren Jordan.
