2020 Carlisle Zinfandel Carlisle Vineyard

In 2020, the Zinfandel Carlisle Vineyard is not quite the charmer it can be, but it still has good depth for the year. I would give the tannins a few years to soften, as they are pretty imposing at this stage. Black cherry, plum, cloves, leather, licorice and incense build nicely in the glass. Dollops of Petite Sirah, Grand Noir, Alicante Bouschet, Tempranillo and Peloursin round up the blend.
