Note di degustazione
The 2023 Pinot Noir Olivet Lane Vineyard comes from vines planted in 1974, and the wine was matured for 15 months in 65% new French oak. It bursts from the glass with expressive aromas of tricolored berry fruit, black tea leaves, pipe tobacco and spice. The full-bodied palate is highly concentrated, although its flavors are youthfully coiled at this stage. It’s framed by soft, chalky tannins and vibrant acidity and has a very long, spice-laced finish. It deserves several years in the cellar. 500 cases were made.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Olivet Lane Vineyard comes from a site planted in 1974 on AXR1 rootstock and is a youthful ruby color. Perfumed with incense, compact black cherries, forest herbs, and suede, on the palate, it offers a bright spine of fresh acidity, a supple, ripe texture that floats around it, and a balanced finish. Drink 2025-2037. These are the spring releases from Williams-Selyem and were tasted with Vice President and Director of Winemaking Jeff Mangahas at the estate in the Russian River Valley.
