Note di degustazione
The 2022 Chardonnay Three Sisters comes from vines planted in 1995. It was barrel-fermented and matured for 10 months in 50% new French oak, and it has alluring aromas of peach, red apple, beeswax, jasmine and allspice. The palate is full-bodied with a satiny texture and concentrated, ripe, spicy flavors. It’s balanced by juicy acidity and has a long, mouth-coating finish. 183 cases were made.

A brilliant straw yellow color, the 2022 Chardonnay Three Sisters is pretty and floral on the nose, with notes of fresh honeysuckle, fresh pear, vanilla, and melon. The palate is medium-bodied, with supple, full-bodied richness, and it stays light on its feet. From a cooler site where the harvest was compact due to the heat, the wine is elegant and silky, but there’s still refreshing acidity here. Drink 2025-2032. One of the most historic names in Sonoma, the Martinellis are sixth-generation winegrowers based in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Prolific farmers, all of their wines come from estate-grown fruit, with 90% of the grapes sold off to other wineries. In addition to focusing on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, they also produce Zinfandel, Syrah, and Muscat of Alexandria. Courtney Robinett Wagoner joined the team in 2015 as the assistant winemaker before being promoted to winemaker in 2017.
Informazioni sul produttore

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
