Crushed stone and hints of sage accent dark, plummy fruit on the nose of the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Basalt. It's full-bodied, rich and velvety on the mid-palate, then long and mouthwatering on the slightly open-knit finish. Look for this vintage to mature slightly ahead of the tighter, more focused 2021.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Basalt is a dense, brooding wine. Black cherry, gravel, licorice, incense, cloves, lavender and sage inform this potent, savory Cabernet Sauvignon. There's plenty of power and breadth, but the 2022 reflects the lighter style of the year.
