From the family of Philippe Castéja, this well-located terroir has produced a dense ruby/purple colored wine that is somewhat chunky and one-dimensional compared with some of the great Pomerols of the vintage, but still very well-made. Medium to full-bodied with black fruits galore and a nice, spicy earthiness, it should be drunk over the next 15 or more years.
