1999 Scherrer Chardonnay Scherrer Vineyard

Bright lemon-yellow color. Dusty, minerally aromas of crystallized yellow plum, quince and smoke; this struck me as rather Alsace-like on the nose. Then concentrated, clean and brisk, with restrained lemon, lime, quince and spice flavors; a very adult-styled chardonnay with a dusty, long, vibrant finish.
