The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve reveals an exuberant bouquet of sweet blackberries, cassis and licorice that's not yet showing much evolution. On the palate, it's supple, velvety and expansive, with an ample core of juicy fruit that largely conceals its structural elements. It's a Reserve that stands out for its elegance and transparency, but while it's very open today, I wouldn't be surprised if it were to shut down in the next few years.

Inky purple. Powerful, deep-pitched aromas of candied cherry, licorice, vanilla and smoky minerals develop a floral nuance in the glass. Intense black currant, bitter cherry and mocha flavors show excellent depth and clarity. Sweet, seamless and penetrating on the long, spice-tinged finish, which is framed by fine-grained, harmonious tannins.
Bright purple. Deeply pitched aromas of cherry pit, black raspberry, licorice and woodsmoke, with a mineral element adding vivacity. Broad, palate-staining dark berry flavors show very good depth and power, with a spicy nuance providing lift and cut. This focused, spicy wine finishes with strong cut and harmonious, gripping tannins.
