Note di degustazione
Consistently a well-made wine from one of the larger properties in the Castillon (more than 100 acres), this blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon came from tiny yields of 21 hectoliters per hectare. The wine exhibits a dark ruby/plum/purple color, with sweet mulberry and black cherry fruit, licorice, camphor, and background oak and earth. The wine shows good sweetness on the attack and mid-palate, has modest depth and texture and a good, round finish. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. This is also a good value.

The 2013 Cap de Faugères shows lovely brightness and energy, but the flavors aren't totally focused or articulated yet. Red cherries, flowers and mint jump from the glass in a fresh, vibrant wine to drink in its youth.
