Tasted at the Sauternes 2006 ten-year on horizontal in Bordeaux. The 2006 Nairac has a perfumed orange peel and mango-scented nose that takes time to blossom from the glass. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, quite racy and energetic in the mouth, with hints of white peach and pineapple towards the finish that displays plenty of botrytised fruit. This appears to be discretely meliorating with time in bottle and comes recommended. Tasted April 2016.

Very pale greenish straw. Clean, not especially fat nose. Relatively light and racy but very appealing ripe pear juice on the palate. With sufficient acidity. Really racy and rich. A very nice package for relatively early drinking but it fades a bit fast. Aperitif Sauternes. (JR)
Masses of richness though not that much subtlety. Tangy glucose flavours. (JR)
Tightrope level of volatility. Racy thick sweetness with lift – VA stays the right side of the line! Not massive but well balanced and good juiciness. Not the most botrytis influenced sweet wine ever but very clean and bracing. Energetic, though no shortage of acidity! Racy. (JR)
