The 2017 Fourcas-Borie turned out beautifully. Rich, ample and creamy, the 2017 possesses terrific depth to match its sensual, mid-weight personality. This is an especially overt style, with plenty of textural richness from the oak, but the wood has integrated nicely over the course of the wine's élevage. I would prefer to enjoy this plump, juicy Fourcas-Borie over the next few years, while the fruit remains vibrant.

The 2017 Fourcas-Borie is fuller and more generous on the nose compared to the Ducluzeau with tobacco-tinged red fruit, slightly tertiary in style with moderate intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, a fine bead of acidity and gentle grip towards the fleshy finish. A delightly mid-term Listrac from Bruno Borie and his team.
Revealing a healthy ruby/purple color, the 2017 Chateau Fourcas-Borie is another solid, charming Listrac. Blackcurrants, tobacco, and leafy herb notes all emerge from the glass, and it's nicely textured, medium-bodied, has plenty of oomph, and ripe tannins. It's ideal for drinking over the coming decade.
A very fine-grained Fourcas with blackberry and blackcurrant aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, tight and integrated. Solid core of fruit and tannins. A blend of 75% merlot, 16% cabernet sauvignon and 9% petit verdot. Drink or hold.
