Dense and powerful in the glass, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon The Grain is certainly not a shy wine. Dark stone fruit, lavender, menthol, licorice and sage all build as the 2015 shows off its mid-palate intensity and overall weight. Still quite raw and forbidding, especially in its tannins, the Grain is far from an easygoing, accessible 2015. Readers should be prepared to cellar it for at least a few years. This is a decidedly virile style.
