The 2005 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Casal di Serra is a richly textured white with pretty notes of honeyed, apricots, mint and minerals. Made in an expansive, generous style, this Verdicchio offers excellent length on the palate in a relatively full-bodied expression of this indigenous variety.

Made in an expansive, generous style, this Verdicchio offers excellent length on the palate in a relatively full-bodied expression of this indigenous variety. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2011. Umani Ronchi is one of the Marche’s historic properties. The entry-level wines offer lovely balance but many of the top selections come across as overdone, particularly when it comes to the use of French oak.
