2004 Oakville East Wine Company Cabernet Sauvignon Exposure

(14.5% alcohol): Bright medium ruby. Brooding blueberry, kirsch and licorice on the nose; smells a bit extractive. Flavors of sweet cassis, bitter chocolate, licorice and herbs. Slightly herbal throughout, with the tannins coming across as a bit dry. Rather unrefined and simple in its flavors, with chocolate and herbs dominating, then seriously tannic and dusty on the finish. Not bad. I'd drink this sooner rather than later, as it's essentially a creamy style of cabernet.
