Note di degustazione
Dark-medium ruby. Lots of perfume, violets, kirsch and dark cherry. On the palate the 25% oak brings some pepper and spice. Medium- to full-bodied, powerful and muscular. The tannins are not hard, but present and persistent. Alcohol is in balance with refreshing acidity. (MH)

Full bottle 1,303 g. Côte du Py always seems to come with a deep, under-the-mountain hum that speaks of echoing caverns and hewn-out black rocks glistening with the drip of aquifers. This is no exception; comes complete with Côte de Py's blueberry fruit, feather-soft tannins and a cold, quiet stillness at its centre. Spine-tingling. A stunningly beautiful wine. (TC)
The 2022 Morgon Côte du Py is mostly destemmed, with a three-week maceration in used barrels. It has more red fruit on the nose than the Grand Cras, hints of blood orange tincturing the raspberry and wild strawberry—nicely controlled. The palate is medium-bodied with finely-tuned tannins, complex and well-balanced, notably mineral-driven on the finish. This is worth seeking out.
