Note di degustazione
Surpassing my initial impressions from tasting this before bottling, the 2023 Roussanne opens with a beautiful, polished nose of dried white flowers, struck flint, honeyed apricots and dried ginger, with subtle nutty undertones. The palate is velvety, rich and textured, ending with a long, luxurious and resonant finish that perfectly balances contained opulence with vibrant energy. This should be a delight to enjoy in the cellar well past its 10th birthday.

The 2023 Roussanne is wonderfully perfumed, blending crisp nectarines with wild flowers and hints of ginger. It's soothingly round, nearly glycerol in feel, with ripe orchard fruits underscored by saline minerals lifted by a hint of sour citrus. It tapers off with admirable length and a pleasantly chewy sensation as hints of D'Anjou pear linger on.
The 2023 Roussanne has gained lovely depth over the past year, as dried apricots and ginger combine with a whiff of confectionary spice. Energetic and fresh, it shows a building richness that soothes the soul as an air of vanilla custard swirls and ripe pit fruit envelop the senses. A hint of sour citrus mingles with salty mineral tones as the 2023 tapers off with excellent length and a slight butterscotch resonance.
