Note di degustazione
The 2021 Listán Negro Las Suertes comes from old vines in Tenerife and aged for 11 months in neutral oak barrels. Light purple in color, aromas of strawberry and white pepper lead into notes of hops and sour cherry. Dry and lean, with a mouthfeel of reactive, fine-grained tannins, it is intense and taut, offering a transparent expression of the volcanic soils of the island—long-lasting and cleansing.

The 2021 Las Suertes, usually the most complex red, comes from centenary vines in the El Ciruelo Vineyard at 480 to 520 meters above sea level with a northern exposure. It fermented with 90% full clusters and indigenous yeasts and had 20 days of maceration, with an élevage of 11 months in 500-liter oak barrels. It has contained ripeness at 12.1% alcohol with very good freshness. It's the more Burgundian of the reds I tasted today, aromatic, floral, open and complex, layered, nuanced and elegant. The evolution of this wine is very good in bottle: the palate is vibrant, the tannins are very fine and the wine has superb harmony and balance. 4,100 bottles were filled in November 2022.
