2008 J. Christopher Pinot Noir Willamette Valley

Deep ruby-red. Highly aromatic nose offers black raspberry, cherry-cola, potpourri and a musky note of pipe tobacco. Deeply pitched dark berry flavors show an attractive sweetness and pick up smoke and licorice notes with air. A tangy mineral quality adds cut and focus to the long, sappy finish. I like this pinot's blend of power and energy.
