What a racy, focused nose showing vivid, savory plums, roasted spices, redcurrants and white pepper. Medium to full body on the palate, showing excellent texture, and taut and polished tannins. Still tight, very fresh and juicy with a mineral tension. 52% cabernet sauvignon, 48% sangiovese. Drink or hold.

As to the reds, lots of spiced red and black fruits, leather, cedar pencil, and tobacco notes all emerge from the 2018 Estate Riserva, a medium-bodied, nicely balanced, elegant red with good, complex, ripe yet present tannins and a great finish. A blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon and 48% Sangiovese, it's an outstanding wine well worth checking out.
