2009 Georges Laval Brut Nature Les Hautes Chevres

Laval's 2009 Nature Les Hautes-Chèvres is wonderfully open and expressive. Sweet floral notes meld into mint, crushed flowers and red berries in a supple style propelled by insistent veins of Cumières minerality. The Laval Champagnes tend to be painfully austere when young, but the 2009 Hautes-Chèvres presents lovely radiance and more early accessibility than is often the case.
