2018 Domaine Lucien Boillot et Fils Pommard Les Fremiers 1er Cru

Violet-hazy cherry aromas with cherry blossom filling the palate in clouds, fine spice tracing through the spread of the wine like the network of veins through a leaf. Slim, chalk-in-silk tannins. Bay leaf and soft red-cherry fruit at the heart, amplifying in waves out to the edges. A tiny bite of pepper right on the tip of the end. Elegant and with a quiet thrum of excitement. (TC)
