Deep ruby with the beginning of orange on a narrow rim. Quite sweet initially with notes of vanilla, and hint of cardamon. Great balance and richness of fruit, with depth and hint of vanilla pod on the finish. Accessible and with depth. (WS)

In barrique for longer – 36 months. Bottled in Sep 09. Much more colour. Almost cassis fragrance. Much much more concentrated – smouldering with intensity. Weighty cassis and mulberry dust. Smoky. Dense. (TC)
