Note di degustazione
The 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Montmain has a lifted bouquet with granite and slate-like aromas, a little withdrawn at the moment, but you can tell this will repay 3-4 years in bottle. The palate is fresh and vibrant with crisp acidity, hints of orange rind and lemon zest, good depth in the mouth with fresh pear and quince towards the finish. Impressive, but it will need time. This killer Chablis has a bright future ahead of it.

Pale, bright yellow-green. Musky aromas and flavors of quinine, mint and white pepper, plus an element of dusty herbs that reminded me of Grüner Veltliner. Densely packed and sharply delineated, displaying lovely energy andfinesse. Very classy Monts Mains with a long rising finish.

Very pale, bright yellow. Aromas of white peach, menthol, white pepper and mint. Offers a surprising spicy sweetness and creaminess in the mouth but with powerful acidity and thrust for what is normally a more feminine, pliant premier cru. The citrus and stone flavors still need a few years to harmonize and expand.
