The name 2018 Trasnocho translates to all night long or overnight. The wine is gently extracted and shows a ton of structure, and after 17 months in French oak is additionally strong, rich, and full-bodied, dense in dark black cherry fruit and a hint of balsamic. Drink now through 2028.

The 2018 Trasnocho was produced from the first pressing of Remírez de Ganuza. This was extracted overnight using a water-filled balloon. Garnet in hue, it offers notes of plum, blackberry, balsamic hints, mint and forest floor. Dry, with a more structured frame than usual for Remírez and a slightly firmer tannin profile, it's similar in flavor but with a sturdier shape resulting in a bold, well-defined Rioja.
