Subdued on the opening, hidden power and a sweet core of blackberry and red cherry fruit, a kick of spice, does not have the purity and depth of its big brother, but this is a great quality Pomerol that is packed with personality, and has an enjoyable grilled fennel finish.

Trotanoy
Château Trotanoy was one of the first recognised Premier Cru sites on the Pomerol plateau, with records dating back to the late 1700s. Even back in the nineteenth century it was seen as the best site in Pomerol second only to Vieux Château Certan.
