2013 Nuits St Georges Les Damodes

Good deep red. More expressive on the nose than the Hauts Poirets, offering scents of black cherry, raspberry and crushed rock lifted by mint and licorice. Boasts attractive sweetness to its sappy berry and spice flavors. Firmly structured wine with a suave texture and attractive finishing floral perfume. Still shows a medicinal reserve but this wine is easier to taste today than the Hauts Poirets, which is not normally the case.
