2023 Meursault Charmes du Dessus

The 2023 Meursault Les Charmes-Dessus 1er Cru comes from vines managed by Girardin. It has a more austere bouquet than the Meursault-Blagny, with crushed stone and light yellow flower scents emerging with time. The palate is well balanced and quite powerful, with a honeyed texture. It's very Charmes in style, with a luxuriant, almost Corton-Charlemagne-like peach- and yellow plum-tinged finish. This is delicious.
