Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Preuillac strolls out of the glass with nonchalant notions of warm blackberries, cassis and tilled earth with a touch of fried herbs. Medium to full-bodied, that palate is defined by a firm, chewy texture and black berry layers, finishing with an herbal lift.
Bright berry fruit, subtle cedar and sappy flower notes, medium body, and good purity of fruit all define the 2016 Château Preuillac. Drink this juicy, elegant, forward effort over the coming 7-8 years.

This offers a wealth of attractive, bright and approachable fruit aromas with a fine and juicy array of succulent berries and a long, juicy drive. A blend of 64 per cent merlot, 30 per cent cabernet sauvignon, five per cent cabernet franc and one per cent petit verdot. Try from 2021.
