Bright, green-tinged gold. Melon, nectarine, smoky lees and mint on the nose. Dense, sappy and juicy, with nervy acidity giving cut and lift to the ripe pit fruit and lemon gelato flavors. Plenty rich but there's very good energy and spine here. Finishes long, spicy and very firm, with resonating anise, quinine and bitter citrus pith qualities. Give this youthful chardonnay some bottle age or air to allow it to stretch out.
