2009 Nicholas Allen Carte Blanche Chardonnay Sonoma Coast

(includes some Russian River Valley fruit; aged in one-third new oak): Exotic aromas of coconut, butterscotch and orange blossom. Then quite ripe but fresh in the mouth, with a silky texture to the lemon curd and soft citrus flavors. An attractive midweight chardonnay with enticing minerality and sound acidity giving the finish a firm edge.
