Note di degustazione
There are nine different "heirloom selections" planted in this large vineyard, some or all of which make the cut for inclusion in this wine in any given year. Whatever went into it, the 2021 Pinot Noir Grace Benoist Ranch Heirloom is an impressive effort, boasting enticing aromas of dusty roses, black cherries and some brambly notions. It's medium to full-bodied and framed by dusty tannins. It is also generous and round, with a long, licorice-tinged finish.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Grace Benoist Ranch is enjoyable but has a serious earthiness to it that masks its fruit. Medium-bodied, with herbal red and black fruits, drink bottles over the coming 3-4 years.
The 2021 Pinot Noir Grace Benoist Ranch is a fine introduction to the wines of this range. Wild cherry, game, incense, leather, licorice, tobacco and dried herbs build nicely. Powerful and driving in feel, the 2021 possesses notable intensity and plenty of savory character from the mostly cool vintage and cool site.
Pretty rose petal and cherry notes appear on the nose of Etude's 2021 Pinot Noir Grace Benoist Ranch. It's medium-bodied, silky and fresh, with terrific energy and intensity. No, it's not the most complex offering in the Etude stable, but it is flavorful and broadly appealing.
