Note di degustazione
(from Vine Hill Ranch in Oakville): Good medium ruby. Sexy, ripe aromas of raspberry, cassis, blueberry, licorice and flowers. Dense, fat and ripe, but with a lovely savory quality to the middle palate. Distinctly deeper than the Napa Valley bottling, with an intriguing element of melted licorice. Finishes with sweet, even tannins that coat the teeth.

The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford is a huge wine layered with expressive dark red fruit, spices and flowers. It possesses striking gorgeous inner perfume and an attractive fleshiness in a juicy, up-front style that is well suited to near-term drinking. The Rutherford captures a great balance between fruit and structure.
The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley flows from the glass with dark red fruit, sweet spices and licorice. It is a beautifully layered, sexy wine bursting with energy. The supple, easygoing style makes this approachable even today. In 2008 the blend is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. The wine spent about 24 months in French oak barrels, 80% new. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018. Tel. (707) 257-5300
