Full bottle 1,618 g. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc. Extended maceration on skins for 36 days. Aged 19 months in French oak, 31% new. NHB. Deep purple. Sweet red and black fruit with a tangy vibrancy. Jammy palate with drying tannin and elevated acidity. All the elements feel quite distinct – nothing is really married here. Sugary finish. (SCJ)

Raymond's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Selection includes 11% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc, about two-thirds estate grown, mostly from vineyards in Rutherford. Aged in 31% new French oak, it doesn't come across as oaky at all, instead offering up plummy notes and ripe black cherries. It's full-bodied, plush and velvety, with a jammy, baked-fruit character and hints of dark chocolate on the finish. Enjoy it young.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Reserve is outstanding, with a lush, forward, sexy style as well as ripe black and blue fruit and some spicy, chocolaty nuances. It’s nicely balanced, ready to go, and should keep for a decade.
