2009 Frontier Justice Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard

The 2009 Red Blend Frontier Justice is the most backward and brooding of these three wines from Bounty Hunter. Huge black fruit, smoke, incense, violets, tar and a host of exotic aromas and flavors all jump from the glass. Mocha, chocolate and cloves add complexity on the finish. The Red Blend is 90% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from Dr. Crane and To Kalon, two great Napa Valley sites. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. Winemaker Timothy Milos delivers the goods with these fabulous 2009s and 2010s. The top wines, which are made from To Kalon and Dr. Crane fruit, are aged in 100% new oak barrels.
