Note di degustazione
The 2011 Tobiano is Pinot Noir from Casablanca, it has a very pure nose of sour cherries, quite pleasant with a faint herbaceous note. The palate is light to medium-bodied, fruity and clean, with low-ish acidity. Drink now. Kingston is the latest addition to MOVI, a family from California who arrived in Chile in search of gold. They didn’t find a lot of gold, but found fertile land in Casablanca where they planted their vineyards. Imported by Kingston Family Vineyards, Portola Valley, CA; tel. Vivid ruby-red. Pungent red berries, cherry pit and peppery spices on the nose. Bitter cherry and blackberry flavors show very good depth and pick up a smoky nuance with air. Closes with appealing sweetness, slow-building tannins and a hint of candied flowers. In an Old World style, with the depth to handle richer foods but plenty of vivacity as well.
