2018 Hertelendy Audere

Checking in as a mix of 39% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec, 10% Petit Verdot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Red Blend Audere gives up a solid, darker, subtly herbal nose with lots of black fruits, chocolate, and spicy nuances. This carries to a ripe, plush, sexy red offering a big, expansive mouthfeel, plenty of mid-palate depth, and ripe tannins. I don't think it's going to make the oldest bones, but it will certainly put a smile on your face over the coming 7-8 years or more.
