Note di degustazione
Brilliant ruby-red. Sexy, oak-spiced aromas of red fruit liqueur, floral pastilles and spicecake are lifted by a smoky mineral element. Smooth, seamless and concentrated, offering sweet red and dark berry flavors that deepen and spread out as the wine opens up. Conveys noteworthy vivacity for its depth of flavor and finishes sweet and very long, with harmonious tannins that fold quickly into the wine's juicy fruit.

The 2012 Reserve Pinot Noir is a vineyard and barrel selection of around 1,800 cases, selected by blind tasting. Much of it comes from Pommard clone planted in 1995 and sees 40% new oak for 11 months. It has a well-defined bouquet with quite minerally red berry fruit, dried rose petal and cranberry leaf scents that are well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, brisk red cherries and raspberry fruit with a nicely defined finish whereby the new oak is neatly embraced by the fruit. This is another very thoughtfully crafted wine that might show up a few more expensive Pinot Noirs.
