Note di degustazione
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Montagna Vineyards comes from a site on Pritchard Hill. For a Hall wine, it comes across as the reddest-fruited and most herbal of the wines tasted in this report, offering up scents of raspberries, cherries and dried sage, underscored by hints of mocha. As it should be, it's boldly differentiated from their other offerings. Full-bodied, firm and tannic, with a dusty edge to the finish, it may be the longest lived of the quartet.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Montagna Vineyards comes from a great site on Pritchard Hill and is another concentrated, rich, beautifully textured wine from this team. Ripe black fruits, smoked tobacco, graphite, and rocky, mineral, coffee-like notes give way to a full-bodied, layered 2021 with impressive tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It shows its mountain heritage with its structure and depth, yet there's plenty of baby fat and opulence to give it some early appeal as well.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Montagna Vineyards captures the essence of this site on Pritchard Hill. Intense red-toned fruit, cedar, tobacco, rose petal, espresso, spice and mint infuse the palate as this heady, layered Cabernet shows off its alluring personality. Montagna is such an evocative site. Winemaker Megan Gunderson captured all of its sensuality and character. The 2021 was fermented in equal parts concrete and tank.
