Note di degustazione
Deep red. Spice- and smoke-accented aromas of raspberry and cherry, with a hint of white pepper emerging slowly. Tangy and focused on the palate, offering zesty red fruit and rose pastille flavors and a touch of allspice. The firm-edged finish features dusty tannins and an echo of bitter cherry.

The 2012 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is 91% from Van Duzer's own vineyard augmented by four other sites. It has a tightly-coiled bouquet with small dark cherries interlaced with iodine and violet petals. The palate is well balanced and more expressive than the aromatics at the moment, with a fine bead of acidity threaded through the grainy black fruit and a tense, penetrating finish that is structured without losing any finesse. This is a well crafted Pinot Noir that may benefit from 12 to 18 months in bottle. Excellent.
