Note di degustazione
I was knocked-out by the dense ruby-colored 2000 Pinot Noir Seven Mules (14.5% alcohol). Its smoky bouquet of toasty oak, sweet black raspberries, sous-bois (underbrush), and cherry liqueur is followed by a chewy, thick, layered, nearly unctuous Pinot. Drink this long, concentrated, flamboyant offering during its first 7-8 years of life. Tel. (707) 525-0570; Fax (707) 525-9463

(from a vineyard across River Road from the winery) Good full ruby-red. sappy aromas of black cherry and black raspberry, with tar and dusty nuances. Sweet, sappy and opulent, with a lovely plump middle and chewy texture. This has very good stuffing. Finishes with fine tannins and persistent, somewhat youthfully aggressive fruit.
Informazioni sul produttore

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
