Note di degustazione
The impressive 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape is a blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre, 3% Cinsault and 2% Counoise, all aged in concrete. It shows lovely cherry-raspberry fruit aromas, ample weight and richness on the palate and a creamy texture. The tannins are supple, and the finish is long, picking up hints of cola and dried spices. A solid choice for drinking over the next decade.

Deep red. Ripe red berries, succulent herbs and pungent flowers on the high-pitched nose. Smooth and fleshy on the palate, offering gently sweet, smoke-tinged raspberry and floral pastille flavors and a spicy touch of white pepper. Finishes on a bitter cherry note, displaying good persistence, gentle tannins and an echo of lavender.
Raspberry, cherry, milk chocolate, fine tannin leaving a soft and smooth texture. Not hugely complex, but has all the classic Châteauneuf characteristics otherwise. (RH)
