2021 Chateauneuf du Pape Adrastee

All Grenache, the tiny production 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape Adrastée shows the more elegant style of the vintage with its beautiful strawberry and framboise fruit as well as flowery incense and spicy aromas and flavors. With medium to full-bodied richness, it has fine tannins, beautiful balance, and a great finish. While the 2021s from this notable estate were made with input from the late Philippe Cambie, the 2022s were made completely by Château de Nages’s Michel Gassier, who was the longtime friend and winemaker alongside Cambie since Halos de Jupiter’s first vintage. As always, the goal with these wines is to focus on Grenache from the different appellations, and tasting through these releases is an incredible education in the different terroirs of the region.
