The 2020 Barrail Saint-André is a powerful, burly wine. Generous dark berry/plum fruit, gravel, game, incense and dried herbs are front and center. It's hard to get past the burly contours and overall lack of finesse though.

The 2020 Barrail Saint André offers light earthy fruit on the nose, which would benefit from more vigor. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins and a mouth-puckering, rather astringent finish.
