From a larger, notable site in Carneros and fermented with whole clusters in a mix of acacia, neutral oak, stainless steel, and amphora, the 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Hudson Vineyard is bright and racy, with pithy citrus, gooseberry, and minty herb-like aromatics. Medium-bodied, clean, balanced, and elegant on the palate, it has crisp acidity and a great finish. I like it today yet see no reason that it shouldn't have a decade of prime drinking. Drink 2025-2035.

The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Hudson Vineyard is brightly pungent and citrusy, combining boxwood and passion fruit with bright pineapple and grapefruit notes. It's just medium-bodied yet has a silky feel on the palate, with the oak—this wine is largely barrel-fermented and aged—providing tremendous length and focus on the lingering finish. It's a stellar example of Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc.
