Made with splashes of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon presents big, fresh, bold and juicy characteristics with rounded layers of spiciness and plenty of oak. It's a full-bodied, rich and layered wine with complex, balanced tannins and succulent acidity that delivers a long, lingering food-friendly finish. This Cabernet was aged for 22 months in 100% new Taransaud French oak. Enjoy with fire-roasted steaks and wild game. 5,676 bottles produced.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (97% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Merlot) offers more complexity in its earthy currant, tobacco, truffly earth, and woodsmoke-driven aromatics. Nicely concentrated, medium to full-bodied, and balanced, with ripe tannins, it's another impressive wine from this label that can be drunk any time over the coming 15-20 years.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon grumbles up from the glass with a darkly alluring mix of black currants, crushed ashen stone and hints of mocha. This soothes with silken waves of mineral-tinged dark red fruit and sweet spice as grippy tannins slowly mount toward the close. While structured and leaving the palate saturated in primary concentration, the 2019 maintains a wonderfully energetic feel as nuances of dried black cherry and tobacco slowly fade. Give this a few years of cellaring to allow its oak to integrate and then drink heartily over the next decade.

Grip and graphite-sheathed minerality. Crisp definition to the deep-blue fruit. Ripe but not jammy – in fact, remarkably elegant. Cursive tannins flow eloquently through the wine, drawing the fruit into a persistent, undulating finish. (TC)
