2012 Round Pond Proprietary Red

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Proprietary Red Wine is an intriguing blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah, aged 18 months in 70% new French oak. This prodigious blend has turned out brilliantly. Dense purple to the rim, with notes of blackberry, mocha, graphite and espresso bean, the wine has very sweet, integrated tannin, a whiff of distant oak, full-bodied opulence and lots of complexity. This is a brilliant effort to drink over the next 7-8 years.
