2010 Provenance Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford is a lighter version of the Barrel Select without the concentration and intensity of the latter cuvee. It shows similar kirsch and black currant fruit intermixed with a dusty, loamy character, and medium body, but it tails off slightly in the finish. Consume it over the next 10 years. There is no question that this winery can do a lot better than these 2010s and 2011s. The delicious Sauvignon Blancs from Provenance are exceptionally well made. Both the non-estate and the Estate possess lots of exotic fruit intermixed with hints of delicate pineapples, figs and mangoes. Tel. (707) 968-3633
